Caetano Veloso has released around 90 albums and recorded just under five hundred of his own compositions in a career spanning half a century. He is probably the most important musician Brazil has ever produced – and not only a musician also a poet and a political activist. In his song-writing and musical adventure he shuffles the divisions between traditional samba samba-canção ‘musica brega’ bossa nova electric guitars Beatles- and Dylan-influenced lyrics. However also key to the enduring success of Caetano is consistency - probably more than any other of the Tropicalía musicians he has always managed to appropriate the popular sound of the day whatever it might be without letting contemporary playing or recording techniques overpower his personal style. This compilation full of gems too numerous to single out individually brings together forty songs that cover all the diversity of Caetano Veloso’s recordings and still hold together as a unified body of work.

Perhaps the centre-piece of the album is the live rework of The Revolution Will Not Be Televised with a 2012 lyrical update.

Reissue of ministy's 1983 debut album The album was released in 1983 through Arista Records with Ministry's members at the time being Alain Jourgensen and Stephen George. Singer Jourgensen was supposedly pressured into making the album in the synthpop style by Arista management which is in contrastto the harder sound he developed as his career continued. However there are several reports of Jourgensen saying in the eighties how he discovered hardcore which changed his musical direction and became ashamed of putting out a synthpop album. Jourgensen assumes a false English accent for the entire songs. This album was also released as Work for Love under BMG in Europe (with the same cover). There is a video available for Revenge which was one of three singles pulled from the album the others being Work for Love and I Wanted to Tell Her. With Sympathy was Ministry's only album for Arista. Full servicing to all relevant media
